Terrorism and Violence – Do WE Really Understand the Differences

Within the last two weeks we have seen another horrific event in Orlando, stupid debates over gun control and our legislators once again make us hang our heads in shame as they defeated four different bills that were intended to address the out of control situation we are currently confronting here in the US.

We have also been victims to our lame stream media spinning the stories for the benefit of their financial and political backers. NO ONE responsible for reporting the facts are reporting the facts. The facts however are the facts and these facts are screaming the insanity.

FACT #1 The “War on Terror” has displaced 120 million people in the last 18 months and the current pace of refugees fleeing the violence numbers about 15,000 people per day! That is equivalent to the total population of the top 15 metropolitan areas in the US or in another perspective, 2/3 of the population of the EU.

FACT #2 According to the Department of Defense, we have lost 15 service men and woman in the so-called “War on ISIS”.

FACT #3 In the last 6 months alone in the US, here are the gun violence stats: 24,525 shooting incidents resulting in 6,298 deaths and 12,950 injuries, including 269 children from 0-11 killed, and 1,351 teenagers killed.  There have been 145 mass shooting events. 151 police officers have been killed and 382 active shooters killed.

FACT #4 It is estimated that over 250,000 civilians have been killed in global armed conflicts over the last 18 months.

No one in their right mind could view these facts any other way than it is total insanity! Behind all of this violence, there are many companies making windfall profits from war and “domestic terrorism”. Gun sales here in the US are through the roof. There really is no way our legislators cannot be classified as criminals. To say they have blood on their hands is an understatement! They are neck deep in blood and anguish.

Where is our outrage? Forget about any political labels, where is our humanity? When you finish reading this short piece, go look at yourself in the mirror and tell that person you honestly believe there is nothing you can do about this insanity. We dare you!
